Café Chef – Chenies Garden Centre

37.5 hours per week | Daytime hours | Your evenings back

Great food. A busy café. A role you can make your own.

Love preparing good, honest food and take pride in every plate? We’re looking for a practical, enthusiastic Café Chef to join our team at Chenies Garden Centre.

From golden toasted panini and generously filled jacket potatoes to fresh sandwiches, salads and tempting deli favourites, you’ll help turn a quick lunch into a reason to visit again.

What you’ll be doing

  • Preparing and serving panini, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, salads and deli items.
  • Keeping displays fresh, appealing and well stocked throughout the day.
  • Organising daily preparation so service runs smoothly during busy periods.
  • Delivering consistent portions, presentation and quality.
  • Following food safety, allergen and hygiene procedures.
  • Checking deliveries, rotating stock and keeping waste under control.
  • Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and ready for service.
  • Working closely with the café team to give every customer a warm welcome and a great meal.

What you’ll bring

Experience in a café, deli or kitchen, a positive attitude and the confidence to keep things moving when the orders come in. You’ll be reliable, organised and happy to roll up your sleeves, with a keen eye for freshness and presentation.
