Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and very experienced Barista to join our busy team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of coffee and food items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. Previous experience is essential as better than average Barista skill is required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to company standards.
  • Assist customers with menu selections and provide exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including cleaning equipment and utensils regularly.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and manage customer payments efficiently.
  • Follow food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
  • Restock supplies as needed, including ingredients, cups, lids, and utensils throughout shifts.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods and support colleagues as required.
  • General cleaning and restocking of all cafe products.

Skills

  • Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards within food service environments.
  • Previous Barista experience and background in serving is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform basic math accurately for handling transactions and measuring ingredients.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with customers warmly and professionally.
  • Organised with attention to detail to ensure consistency in beverage quality and cleanliness standards.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
