Full job description

Darfoulds is a vibrant, community focused café known for great coffee, fresh food, and friendly service. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming space where customers can relax and enjoy high-quality offerings. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Front of House Assistant / Barista to join our team and help us deliver excellent customer experiences. Hours will be between 16hrs and 24hrs per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly, efficient, and attentive service to all customers.
  • Take orders, handle payments, and operate the till.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the café, including tables, counters, and equipment.
  • Assist with stock rotation, restocking supplies, and monitoring inventory.
  • Support the team during busy periods and contribute to a positive working environment.
  • Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold drinks to a high standard.
  • Comply with food safety and health & safety regulations at all times.

About You:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (barista or café/restaurant front of house) is desirable required
  • Passionate about great coffee and customer service.
  • Friendly, approachable, and able to work well as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to stay calm under pressure.
  • Flexible and available to work weekends and/or evenings as required. Weekends tend to be one on, one off basis

  • Barista experience: 2 years (preferred)
  • Hospitality: 2 years (preferred)
