About the School - Charterhouse Square:
Charterhouse Square is a non-selective, co-educational independent school based in the City of London for students aged 3-11 years. The school has excellent transport links, with the Elizabeth line, Farringdon mainline and Barbican tube all within a 5-minute walk. With a friendly and unpretentious approach, Charterhouse Square School offers education from Nursery and Early Years through to Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

At Charterhouse Square School we believe a happy and stimulating learning environment is fundamental to academic success. Students achieve exceptional academic results at 11+ from a broad and balanced curriculum, with a strong emphasis on numeracy and literacy but with ample time also dedicated to physical education and the arts.

The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lunch Assistant to join our fantastic team.

About Cognita:

Each of our schools are proudly unique, however our collective purpose is to create an environment where everyone can, "Thrive in a rapidly evolving world".

About the Role:
As a Lunch Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils during the busy lunchtime period, helping to create a safe, calm, and positive environment. You will assist with the serving of meals, support children as they eat, and encourage good table manners and independence. You will also help supervise pupils in the dining hall, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times. Working closely with teaching staff and the wider lunchtime team, you will contribute to the smooth running of the service while ensuring hygiene and allergy procedures are followed. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to children’s daily school experience.

This is a permanent, part-time role needed during Term Time only.

Hours: 10:30am– 2.00pm, Mon-Fri (term-time – 34 weeks plus 5 days inset)

Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with young children and understands the importance of creating a supportive and nurturing environment. You will be a confident communicator, able to engage positively with pupils and colleagues, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. You will have a caring and patient approach, alongside a strong sense of responsibility for safeguarding and pupil wellbeing. Reliability, good organisation, and a positive attitude towards learning and development are essential for success in this role.

Benefits at Cognita:
