Due to continued growth and expansion, Parkway Volkswagen are looking to recruit Vehicle Technicians to join our busy and successful Aftersales team at our Derby Passenger Car site.

We offer competitive basic salaries (based on experience) with forecasted on-target earnings of £40,000 - £55,000 per year.

With no weekend working, 24 days holiday (increasing to 28 with service) and discounted servicing, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable and growing Volkswagen retailer.

Key Responsibilities

• Completing scheduled servicing and repairs in line with Volkswagen manufacturer guidelines
• Undertaking diagnostic activities to identify causes and solutions for customer vehicle issues
• Carrying out repairs on mechanical, electrical and electronic systems
• Conducting electronic visual health checks (IVHC) and providing clear recommendations
• Liaising with Service Advisors and supporting an outstanding customer experience
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high-quality standard
• Participating in Volkswagen manufacturer training and personal development programmes
• Supporting and mentoring apprentice technicians where applicable

Required Experience

• Minimum Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• MOT licence preferred but not essential (training can be provided)
• Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical and electrical systems
• Understanding of wiring diagrams and diagnostic processes
• Good communication skills and a team-focused approach
• Full UK Driving Licence required

42-hour working week

No weekend working

We recognise the importance of work-life balance and have removed Saturday working to provide our technicians with more time to enjoy their weekends.
