Area New & Used Car Sales Manager – Vauxhall & BYD

Locations: Slough & High Wycombe

Advance Motors is continuing to grow.

Representing Vauxhall, BYD and Leapmotor, with further exciting brands joining soon, we are looking for an experienced Area New & Used Car Sales Manager to lead our sales operations across our Slough and High Wycombe dealerships.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious automotive leader to take responsibility for two high-performing sites, lead successful teams and play a key role in the continued growth of Advance Motors.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Group Operations Director, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the New and Used Vehicle Sales Departments across both dealerships.

You will work closely with each dealership management team to maximise sales performance, profitability and customer satisfaction while ensuring consistent standards across both locations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the New & Used Car Sales teams across Slough and High Wycombe.
  • Deliver sales, profit, finance and customer satisfaction targets for both dealerships.
  • Drive consistent sales processes and best practice across both sites.
  • Lead and enquiry management – ensure all customer enquiries are responded to promptly, followed up effectively and converted into sales opportunities through strong CRM and sales process management.
  • Monitor enquiry conversion, sales pipeline and team performance using CRM and management reports.
  • Maximise Finance & Insurance performance while ensuring full FCA compliance.
  • Manage used vehicle pricing, stock profile, stock ageing and profitability.
  • Work closely with the Used Car Buying Team to ensure the right stock is purchased for each market.
  • Coach, mentor and develop Sales Managers, Showroom Managers and Sales Executives.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, CSI and online reputation, implementing improvements where required.
  • Ensure full compliance with manufacturer standards and operational processes.
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing team to maximise lead generation, campaign performance and conversion.
  • Use CRM, AI and digital tools to improve customer engagement, operational efficiency and sales performance.
  • Produce accurate forecasts, performance reports and action plans for senior management.

About You

You will already be an experienced Automotive Sales Manager, General Sales Manager or Dealer Manager with a proven record of delivering outstanding results.

You will be commercially driven, highly organised and capable of leading multiple teams while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

You will have:

  • Proven success in both New and Used Car Sales.
  • Strong leadership and people development skills.
  • Experience managing multiple departments or sites is desirable.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and decision-making ability.
  • Strong understanding of FCA compliance and finance performance.
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
