Full job description

Leison Care Service’s purpose is compassion & empathy, focusing on giving others independence.

We have been running our domiciliary care services for adults for the last five years, and we are now able to provide our services to children age 5 and upwards also.

We are looking for Community Support Care Workers.

Your own car with a full Uk or international driving licence is desirable but not essential .

With the options to work a range of shift and hours. We welcome full or part time as well as casual applicants. With options of increasing your hours where possible. Especially after school hours and holidays - weekend work is required

We have the pleasure of providing services across Cardiff and have a high demand for carers in areas such as Canton, Grangetown, Ely, Fairwater, Danescourt, LLandaff, Gabalfa, Llandaff North, Whitchurch, Heath, Rhiwbina, llanishen, Lisvane, Creigiau, Gwalod y Garth, Radyr.

As a care Support worker in the community, you will need to have experience, have skills and attributes to assist and support children and adults with physical / learning difficulties as well mental health support, and supporting any illnesses. To support with their care needs and preferences, encourage their wellbeing and independence whilst ensuring that they have the opportunity access resources in the community.

You will be expected to –

Support and encourage each individual to participate in daily activities and hobbies such as visits to local landmarks, using public transport, swimming, going to the theatre or cinema.

Encourage living skills such as handling money, preparing and cooking meals, clothes / food shopping to give them the confidence and assurance to reach their full capabilities.

By being their support and embracing these skills they will succeed their full potential.
