Rotherwood Healthcare is an award winning care home group, providing luxury residential, nursing and dementia care for the older generation in a family of care homes and nursing homes across the Midlands.

Lynhales Hall is set in seven acres of woodland close to the historic Herefordshire village of Lyonshall. Lynhales Hall is built around a stunning, two-storey 16th Century Manor House and is home to 65 residents.

The Role:

As a member of the housekeeping team, you will promote the quality of life and wellbeing of our residents by ensuring their home is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas. Ensuring that every room and living space is clean, tidy, and maintained to an exceptional level at all times. You will be a champion for hygiene and infection control within the home, creating a welcoming, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, as well as their friends and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow and maintain cleaning schedules, outlining daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
  • Ensure the standards of cleanliness are of a high standard including resident’s individual rooms, all fabric, furniture, carpets, and equipment.
  • Adhere to health & safety & COSHH regulations to ensure the safety of residents, visitors & staff.
  • Ensure any necessary documentation/records are completed and updated as required.
  • Report any maintenance, faulty equipment, furniture, or concerns to the Head Housekeeper.

About You:

You will have previous housekeeping/cleaning experience within a fast paced busy environment, with a strong focus on high standards, ensuring the environment it maintained to a high level. You will also have the ability to prioritise and complete your allocated tasks during your set shift. Previous care home experience would be an advantage but not essential as we will provide you with the knowledge and understanding if you have the people qualities and share our core values.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £10.57 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
