Part Time Receptionist (Care Navigator)

20 hours per week (Part time)-Maternity Cover

We are a busy GP surgery with an 8,000-patient list, and we are looking for a friendly and efficient Part-Time Receptionist (Care Navigator) to join our team at Whitchurch Road Surgery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as the first point of contact for patients, both in person and over the phone.
- Scheduling appointments and managing the practice diary.
- Navigating patient queries to ensure they receive the appropriate care and information.
- Handling and updating patient records using our clinical system.
- Liaising with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Assisting with general administrative duties, including emails, filing, and scanning.

Key Skills & Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment while remaining calm and professional.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in IT systems (experience with medical software such as Vision/EMIS is advantageous but not essential).
- Compassionate and empathetic, with a commitment to patient care.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or receptionist role is desirable but not essential.

Working Hours:

20 hours per week, with some flexibility required to cover busy periods.
