Children’s Residential Support Worker

Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver personalised care plans that reflect each child’s unique needs, strengths, and aspirations.
  • Provide day-to-day child centred support, ensuring a safe, stable, and nurturing home environment.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals to promote positive outcomes.
  • Drive young people to appointments, activities, and family contact, ensuring safety and reassurance.
  • Maintain accurate records of care, progress, and any changes in needs.
  • Use IT systems confidently for documentation and communication.
  • Support children to develop independence, confidence, and life skills through meaningful engagement.

Skills & Qualities We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or within a caring role is highly desirable.
  • A Level 4 Diploma in Children and Young People is ideal, but not essential.
  • We offer apprenticeship pathways and full training for the right person.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust.
  • A full driving licence is essential.
  • Confidence using IT systems for record-keeping.
  • A compassionate, patient, and genuine desire to make a difference.

Additional Information

This role will include shifts and overnight sleeps, as part of providing consistent, reliable care to the children who depend on us.
