This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role within a small, child-centred home where you can make a genuine difference in the lives of children with mild to complex needs. • Ensure children receive high-quality, person-centred care tailored to their individual needs.
  • Promote positive outcomes in line with each child's care plans, education and health needs.
  • Act as a positive role model, maintaining high standards of care and professional practice.
  • Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day operations and compliance with Ofsted regulations.
  • Complete and oversee accurate record-keeping, risk assessments, and incident reports.
  • Build positive relationships with families, social workers, education providers and healthcare professionals.
  • Safeguard children and promote their welfare at all times.
  • Administer medication where appropriately trained.

Essential:

  • Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent CYPW qualification)
  • Experience working in a children's residential care setting.
  • Experience supporting children or young people with learning disabilities and/or additional needs.
  • Ability to work a 3-on/3-off rolling rota (including weekends & bank holidays) - Shift times are 7 am to 9 pm.
  • Previous experience supervising, mentoring or leading staff.
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding, children's legislation and Ofsted standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and confident in challenging situations.
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred).

Desirable:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
  • Experience supporting children with autism, communication difficulties or behaviours that challenge.

What We Offer

  • Generous Staff Perks & High Street Discounts Scheme
  • Employee Assistance Programme for wellbeing support
  • Employee of the Month & Year Awards
  • Company Pension Scheme
  • Access to company vehicles
  • Fully funded Level 4 Residential Childcare and Level 5 Leadership & Management qualifications
  • Clear progression routes and ongoing training – your career development matters to us
