Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Homecare Assistant (Drivers ) to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes around Preston and Lancaster areas. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires effective communication skills and a commitment to following care plans tailored to each individual's needs.

Duties

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Help clients with medication management as per care plans.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Document daily activities and any changes in client condition accurately.

Experience

• Previous experience in home care or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them diligently is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and their families.
• A valid driving licence is necessary for transporting clients when required.
• Basic IT skills are beneficial for maintaining records and communicating with the team.
• Experience in a care home setting is a plus but not mandatory.
