Residential Care Worker

Locations(s):

The Hollies: Locks Heath SO31

Contract: 37.5hrs per week , Permanent

Pay scale:

NVQ level 3 (or willing to work towards) in Children's Residential - from £13.77 to £14.90 per hour / enhanced overtime rate. We offer a sleep in rate of £51.00.

The role is for a full time, permanent position working across the week and weekends and with additional sleep ins. We offer training and development with opportunities to progress within the company.

The shifts will include a mixture earlies / lates / long days / alternate weekends and occasional sleep ins.

(7.00am-2.30pm / 2.30pm - 10.00pm / 7.00am - 10.00pm)

The Role

We are seeking caring, dedicated, and resilient individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.

You will be fully supported to achieve the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, helping you further your professional development and meet Ofsted requirements (if not already qualified).

Previous experience supporting vulnerable children or young people within a residential care setting is desirable but not essential, as full training and ongoing development opportunities will be provided.

Key Skills Required:

● NVQ 3 (or above) in Children Residential

● The key attributes and resilience for working with children with a Learning disability (LD) as well as managing challenging behaviour they may present.

● Understand the importance of providing a stable environment for children

● Experience of working with children with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties

● Effective communication skills both written and verbal

● Diligent, enthusiastic and passionate

● Hold a Full UK Driving Licence (Desirable)

Successful candidates will be required to provide an enhanced Disclosure ( DBS) This Disclosure cost will be met by New Haven
