We are a small, established homecare agency based in Ashtead, providing high-quality care to older and disabled people in their own homes across Leatherhead, Ashtead, Fetcham, Bookham, Epsom and surrounding areas.

Why work for Tendacare?

We believe our care staff should be properly supported and rewarded. Our contracted staff are paid for their travel time and non-contact time, as well as the time spent with clients.

You will receive:

  • £13.44–£18.00 per hour, with enhancements for experience and unsocial hours
  • Paid travel time between clients
  • Paid non-contact time
  • Paid mileage allowance
  • Contracted hours with variable and fixed-hour options
  • Morning shifts approximately 8.00am–12md
  • Evening shifts approximately 5.00pm–9.30pm
  • Paid professional training
  • Paid Care Certificate on completion
  • Fully funded opportunities to study Level 2 & Level 3 Health & Social Care qualifications
  • Paid DBS check
  • Uniform provided, including an annual uniform allowance for trousers and shoes
  • Full PPE provided
  • Workplace pension
  • Personal work smartphone
  • Blue Light Card and Discount for Carers benefits
  • Refer-a-friend bonus
  • Rewards scheme where you can earn points and extra cash

New to care? That's OK.

You don't need previous homecare experience to apply.

We provide a full induction, paid training and a care buddy system, so you'll be supported while you learn the role and build your confidence.

If you already have experience in care and hold a Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care, you'll receive a pay enhancement following your induction and shadowing.

What will you be doing?

You'll support people in their own homes, helping them remain independent, safe and comfortable.

This may include:

  • Personal care and toileting
  • Supporting clients when getting up in the morning or going to bed
  • Supporting clients with their medication
  • Preparing food and drinks
  • Helping clients remain safe in their own homes
  • Providing companionship and a friendly, caring presence

Every client is different, and you'll receive the training and support you need to provide person-centred care.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for people who are:

  • Caring, compassionate and conscientious
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Comfortable supporting people with personal care
  • Able to communicate well in English
  • Legally entitled to work in the UK
  • Able to drive and have access to a car
  • Living within approximately 5–8 miles of Leatherhead/Ashtead, or within a practical travelling distance of our care areas

We welcome applications from people new to care as well as experienced care professionals.

If you're looking for a local care job where you're properly paid for your working time, supported by a friendly team and given opportunities to develop your career, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply now to join Tendacare.
