Therapeutic Support Worker (Children’s Residential Care Services)

Salary: £13 per hour + sleep ins

Hours:

Full time permanent position – 2 on 3 off (with flexibility)

Full time waking night position - 4 in, 4 off schedule

Location: Raunds, Northamptonshire

Our support workers are integral to the smooth running of our homes. We will guide and develop you to reach your full potential in this rewarding industry. As always our children are at the heart of everything we do.

We focus on creating a warm, open and transparent environment in which the children can express their characters, establish their independence and become maturing young people. Our ethos focuses on understanding and addressing the underlying needs of our young people rather than their behaviours and difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure young people receive excellent emotional and physical care levels within a home that offers a safe, nurturing, and comfortable environment with a supportive staff team.
  • To assist the Registered Manager to manage both resources to ensure high service standards are achieved within the home, exceeding regulatory standards and promoting high standards of care in line with our regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge around Children's homes regulations and implementation throughout the processes of the home.

Essential:

  • A compassionate individual with a passion for care of children and young people
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality care
  • Knowledge of EBD and other complex needs/challenging behaviour
  • Excellent understanding of safeguarding and risk assessments
  • Hold a current UK Driving Licence
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent
  • The right to work in the United Kingdom
