Term Time Only

Grade 6 SCP 12-18 Actual Starting Salary Grade 6 £24,241 (FTE Salary £28,598 – £31,537)

(Grade 7 (FTE Salary 32,061 – £34,434) for Careers role at 0.4 considered for individuals holding a Level 6 qualification in Careers Guidance and Development)

Grade 6/7 Starting Salary £25,431.69

About this Role

Crofton Academy is seeking to appoint a motivated and pupil focused Key Stage 4 Progress and Careers Advisor to join our mentoring team on a full time basis. The role will be split as 2 days focussing on Careers and 3 days as KS4 Progress Mentor.

This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring individual with strong communication skills to play a vital role in supporting our pupils to achieve their best outcomes and further their education.

The successful candidate will:

  • Ensure that target pupils receive relevant mentoring and interventions to achieve their aims.
  • Develop strong partnerships with external agencies and stakeholders, including local and regional colleges, employers and careers organisations.
  • Be able to advise and guide pupils on the next steps for their education.
  • Have strong communication skills with the ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Have a methodical and consistent approach to the organisation of the workload.

  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Able to prioritise tasks effectively.
