Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Kitchen Assistant/Cook to join our dynamic culinary team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for supporting food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. Duties

  • Assist in preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Cook and plate meals efficiently, maintaining quality and presentation standards
  • Follow food safety guidelines diligently to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and proper storage of ingredients
  • Support the kitchen and serving team during busy periods by managing multiple tasks with energy and precision
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
  • Help with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs

Qualifications

  • Experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling of ingredients
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and work efficiently under pressure
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail-oriented work ethic
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
  • Prior kitchen or culinary experience is highly desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
  • Basic understanding of meal preparation techniques and serving procedures
