General ManagerReporting to: Head of Site OperationsLead the Next Chapter at Jerk Junction

Jerk Junction is growing, and we're looking for an exceptional General Manager to take the lead at one of our flagship locations.

This is more than just a management role. We're searching for an energetic, commercially minded leader who can drive performance, inspire teams, and create an unforgettable guest experience. Whether you're an experienced Assistant General Manager ready to step up or a proven General Manager looking for a fresh challenge, we'd love to hear from you.

Our restaurant combines authentic Jamaican food, vibrant hospitality, and a fully licensed bar, creating a unique destination for guests. We need someone who can embrace that atmosphere, lead from the front, and take ownership of every aspect of the business.

What You'll Be Responsible ForLeadership & Team Development

  • Recruit, lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Create a positive and engaging workplace culture.
  • Deliver training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Lead by example during busy service periods and inspire confidence across the team.
  • Build a team that consistently delivers outstanding guest experiences.

Restaurant & Bar Operations

  • Take full ownership of day-to-day restaurant operations.
  • Oversee both food and bar service, ensuring exceptional standards are maintained throughout.
  • Manage rotas, labour costs, stock control, and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure the venue remains clean, safe, compliant, and presentation-ready at all times.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of beverage operations, licensing requirements, and bar profitability.

Guest Experience

  • Champion exceptional customer service standards.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and effectively.
  • Build relationships with regular guests and become a visible presence within the business.
  • Ensure every guest receives the warm, authentic hospitality that Jerk Junction is known for.

Commercial Performance

  • Drive sales growth and maximise profitability.
  • Analyse KPIs, labour costs, stock variances, and financial performance.
  • Implement local marketing initiatives and promotional activity.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational performance and guest satisfaction.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to achieve business objectives.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous management experience within hospitality, restaurants, bars, or a similar fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of business performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and make decisions confidently.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional hospitality.
  • Flexible approach to working evenings, weekends, and peak trading periods.

Desirable

  • Experience working within a Caribbean or Jamaican restaurant.
  • Bar management or beverage operations experience.
  • Personal Licence Holder qualification.
  • Food Safety and First Aid qualifications.
  • Experience opening, developing, or turning around hospitality businesses.
