Pay: £16.40-£20.00 per hour

Job Description:

Our Client, has authentic job prospects for experienced skilled labourers.

Due to ongoing expansion our client is thrilled to open up their facility to skilled labourers, semi-skilled & skilled joiners (workshop based).

You shall be welcomed into a site with huge square meterage (it is a construction based project – though under a roof!).

Hour of Work:

Monday to Thursday - 7 am 5 pm

Finish half day Friday

  • Hourly rate: £16.40
  • Overtime @ time & half & double time!
  • Potential earnings £650! - £900!

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in joinery and/or fit-out (or similar)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Own tools essential!
  • Ability to use various hand/power tools (bench saws, hand saws, routers, planers)
  • Ability to work unsupervised in a team environment
  • Must have previous experience of dry lining, plaster board, manufacturing joinery that would include cutting out. Post apprenticeship experience of high quality joiner, preferably gained in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work with minimum instruction in terms of cutting and building up box sections. The ability to set up work pieces and tools.
  • Ability to read/interpret plans
  • Be reliable and punctual
  • Dependable means of getting to and from work
  • Clean, valid driving license highly desirable

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • ESSENTIAL - own basic hand tools & drills.
  • You will be working from drawings wood work, putting together (a jigsaw puzzle & construction various furniture fittings.
  • Must have previous
  • Experience of manufacturing joinery that would include cutting out, fit out, 1st & 2nd fix.
  • Post apprenticeship experience of high quality joiner, preferably gained in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Job Spec

  • Prepare, fit and finish woodwork and other products by following specifications and industry standards
  • Perform work specified to meet the quality standards specified to meet the customer’s expectations
  • Work with hand tools and power tools to complete assigned tasks
  • Maintain the use of equipment and tools in a clean and orderly manner
  • Perform all work in a safe manner at all times
  • Complete all required paperwork for work assignments complete as directed
  • Maintain a safe working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules and regulations
  • Ability to work overtime as needed

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience preferred but not required
  • Must be able to read blueprints, tape measure, have basic math skills and be able to use hand tools (pneumatic power saw, power drill, etc.)to cut, shape or assemble materials or components
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds consistently throughout the day
