The Specialist in Traditional Sash Windows is an established and expanding sash window and door business based in Guildford, Surrey. With over 20 years of experience, we have built a reputation for high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional service. We operate a busy manufacturing plant with offices in Guildford and a showroom in Cobham. Our mission is to become the most successful sash window and door company in the UK.

About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Bench Joiner to join our professional and friendly team. This role is based in our Guildford joinery shop and offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of bespoke timber products including traditional sash windows, casement windows, and doors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture sash windows, casement windows with frames, and doors with frames to a high standard
  • Work with a variety of specifications, including standard mould frames, bowed frames, and complex mouldings requiring spindle work
  • Interpret technical drawings and work from detailed plans
  • Ensure accuracy and quality control throughout the joinery process
  • Manage your own workload while collaborating with the wider workshop team
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a workshop joinery setting
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with all aspects of bench joinery
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality bespoke joinery items
  • Strong understanding of traditional joinery techniques and spindle work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and a professional approach to work
