Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team, working across a range of residential construction projects, including new builds, home extensions, loft conversions, and structural alterations.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both first and second fix carpentry, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality workmanship consistently. This is a great opportunity to be involved in varied and rewarding domestic building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out all aspects of first and second fix carpentry including:
  • Stud partitioning, joisting, roofing, door and window fitting
  • Installation of staircases, skirting, architraves, and other finishings
  • Fitting kitchens, wardrobes, and other custom joinery elements
  • Read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
  • Work closely with site managers, builders, and other trades to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Ensure all work complies with current building regulations and meets company quality standards
  • Operate and maintain power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
  • Work efficiently in both occupied and unoccupied residential settings
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety policies

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Carpenter in residential construction
  • Skilled in both first fix and second fix carpentry
  • Ability to read and work from construction drawings and plans
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Own tools and transport (preferred)
  • Excellent timekeeping and communication skills
