Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and joinery, with the ability to fabricate high-quality cabinets and furniture pieces. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Cabinet Maker will be responsible for interpreting designs, selecting materials, and utilising various power tools to produce finished products that meet our clients' specifications.

Duties

  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to create custom cabinets and furniture.
  • Fabricate cabinets using a variety of materials, including wood, laminate, and veneer.
  • Operate power tools safely and effectively, ensuring precision in cutting, shaping, and assembling components.
  • Perform joinery techniques such as dovetailing, mortising, and tenoning.
  • CNC Experience useful but not essential.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet design standards.
  • Collaborate with designers and clients to make adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace while adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Fitting experience useful but not essential.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or in a similar role within woodworking or joinery.
  • Proficiency in using power tools and machinery related to cabinet making.
  • Strong understanding of joinery techniques and fabrication processes.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during production and installation.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
