At, The Loftman Company (TLMC) we are looking for installation teams In the Reading/Slough region.

***MUST HAVE A Medium Wheel Base or Long Wheel Base VAN OF YOUR OWN***

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the longest established loft specialists in the U.K. We install loft ladders, loft hatches, high quality floor boarding, insulation, Velux windows and other products. Due to very strong demand, we’re growing to be one of the largest installers across our region.

Our aim is to make it easy for our customers to make use of their loft space for storage. Whether in a new build property or older home we provide innovative storage solutions backed with our lifetime company guarantee.

We are looking for talented carpenters to help us provide great installations for our customers. You will be delivering an excellent service from start to finish by fitting our range of products into customers’ homes. We offer a market leading fee for each completed installation.

As a Head Fitter your responsibilities will be to work alongside an assistant fitter. (We do require you to source and manage your own assistant)

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate to deliver the installations effectively and reliably.
  • Work directly with the whole team, proactively contributing to the daily workload.
  • Give constructive feedback and look for ways to improve our service.
  • Have a great attitude to problems if they arise through the working week.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and to a very high standard
  • Be willing to install loft boarding, loft ladders, loft hatches, loft insulation and learn new skills.
  • Be willing to progress along with the business.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

What we're looking for:

  • Experience working in joinery or carpentry with any relevant qualifications.
  • Must have their own van or are willing to rent one. (MWB or LWB at a minimum)
  • Passionate and driven to excel in all areas.
  • Happy to work remotely covering areas up to 2hrs from base.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • You love going the extra mile to deliver outstanding results.
  • You believe in practicing self-improvement and learning new skills.
  • You're keen and able to learn.
  • You love finding solutions to challenges you may face.
  • And essentially you communicate clearly and in a friendly way.

Salary: £400 - £500 per day (On Average) - Our Most senior fitters can exceed this per team

  • Slough or surrounding area (Essential) - willing to cover up to 1-2 hrs travel away (No overnights)
