Job Summary
We are seeking skilled and dedicated carpenters for both 1st fix and 2nd fix carpentry roles. The ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of joinery techniques and be proficient in the use of hand and power tools. This position involves working on various projects, including residential and commercial properties, where you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing structures to ensure high-quality finishes.

Responsibilities

• Carry out 1st fix carpentry tasks, including the installation of frameworks, roofs, and structural components.
• Execute 2nd fix carpentry duties such as fitting doors, windows, skirting boards, and other finishing touches.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively to fabricate and assemble wooden structures.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard while adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Perform plumb checks to ensure all installations are level and correctly aligned.
• Assist with heavy lifting as required during the installation process.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project timelines are met.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a carpenter with a solid background in both 1st fix and 2nd fix carpentry.
• Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and materials used in carpentry work.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to carpentry tasks.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Familiarity with electrical installations is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
