Full job description
We currently require Bench Joiners and Cabinet makers to join our growing joinery team.
We manufacture furniture for a number of sectors including retail, healthcare, offices.
Job Responsibilities
- Construct and assemble cabinet components, making sure that all pieces fit the dimensions specified by the foreman/woman and client
- Verify and double-check all calculations to ensure alignment of doors, hinges etc, always using design plans/job sheets for reference
- Applicants MUST be competent in the setting up and safe usage of woodworking machinery including saws, spindle moulders, sanders, planers/thicknessers, edgebanders, CNC, and general power tools. Training can be given.
- Be exact in measurements and markings so that materials will be used efficiently, and the projects will meet budgetary restrictions
- Install the appropriate hardware, such as hinges and handles, and notify foreman/woman about replacement materials when needed
- Match materials and grains to create a uniform appearance for all the matching units
- Maintain a safe working environment by cleaning and disposing of old materials and maintaining the cleanliness of the workshop
Job Skills & Qualifications Required
- Understanding of necessary mathematics & safe usage working practices
- Knowledge of materials and processing
- Keen attention to detail
You will be required to work Monday to Friday between 7:30 am to 4.30 pm
