Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Self Employed Carpenter and Joiner to deliver high-quality craftsmanship across a variety of construction residential projects In Stourbridge and surrounding areas. First & second fix essential .

Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
  • Fit bespoke joinery items such as staircases, doors & windows
  • Install carpentry components on-site, including framing, roofing structures, flooring, and interior finishes.
  • Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate efficient project progress.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project managers to interpret plans and ensure specifications are met accurately.
  • Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, roofing, or related trades.
  • Proficiency with hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers), power tools (drills, sanders), and specialized equipment.
  • Knowledge of roofing construction is a bonus
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage a project independently while meeting deadlines.
  • Relevant certifications or training in carpentry or joinery
  • Must have own tools, transport & Public Liability insurance
  • Good pay for the right person
