Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled 2nd Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. Your work will contribute to the overall success and quality of our projects. You must work well as part of a team but be able to work solo.

Day rate based on experience.

Based in Southampton and Winchester area.

MUST HAVE

  • Own tools
  • Own transport
  • Minimum 7 years experience
  • MUST BE SKILLED IN 2ND FIX

Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and materials required
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials according to specifications
- Install structures such as windows, doors, cabinets, stairs, and moulding
- Repair or replace damaged or defective parts
- Inspect work to ensure accuracy and compliance with building codes and regulations
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors as needed
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition

Skills
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods
- Ability to fabricate and assemble structures according to specifications
- Knowledge of masonry work for foundation construction
- Familiarity with plumbing and electrical systems for installation purposes
- Ability to plumb structures accurately for stability
- Experience with roof construction and repair
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as required
