Full job description

We are currently looking for an experienced Kitchen Fitting Joiner to join our team working on care home projects.

The successful candidate will initially be working in Preston, fitting kitchens within care homes before moving on to further projects in Burnley, carrying out the same type of work.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled joiner who is confident with kitchen fitting and installation and takes pride in producing a neat, professional finish. The kitchens are not high-specification, so we are looking for someone who is practical, reliable and experienced in getting the job done efficiently and to a good standard.

You will be working in care home environments, so a professional attitude, good communication and respect for the surroundings are essential.

There is ongoing work available with the opportunity to become permanent for the right person.

The Role

Your duties will include:

  • Fitting and installing kitchens within care homes
  • Installing kitchen units, cupboards, doors and worktops
  • Completing general joinery and finishing works associated with kitchen installation
  • Measuring, cutting and fitting materials accurately
  • Carrying out snagging and ensuring work is completed to a high standard
  • Working safely and keeping work areas clean and tidy
  • Moving between projects as required, initially Preston and then Burnley

Essential Requirements

You MUST have:

  • Valid CSCS Card
  • Manual Handling certificate
  • Asbestos Awareness certificate
  • Working at Heights certificate
  • Previous experience as a Joiner / Kitchen Fitter
  • Proven experience fitting kitchens
  • Experience working within a construction or refurbishment environment
