Overview

Join a construction team as a 2nd fix carpenter on new build developments, completing the detailed interior work that helps turn a building into a functional, finished space. You’ll fit and assemble components accurately, working from plans and coordinating with other trades.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out second-fix carpentry and joinery, including fitting pre hung doors sets, skirting, architraves and fixtures.
  • Measure, cut, fabricate and assemble materials using hand tools and power tools.
  • Complete finishing tasks such as construction painting and minor adjustments to installed work.
  • Coordinate with colleagues and other trades, including plumbing, electrical and masonry teams, where required.
  • Handle materials safely, including heavy lifting
  • Your impact: Accurate finishing helps create safe, usable spaces for clients and allows other trades to complete their work smoothly.

Requirements

  • Practical carpentry and joinery skills, with experience using hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to read measurements and work carefully to plans and specifications.
  • Safe approach to heavy lifting and working on construction sites

Pay: £200.00-£350.00 per day
