CARPENTER / WORKING FOREMAN

Quay Building Services | Hampshire

Are you an experienced carpenter who can do more than just your own trade?

We’re looking for a highly skilled Carpenter / Working Foreman to join Quay Building Services and take responsibility for running our high-end residential projects on site.

This is a hands-on role. We’re not looking for someone who wants to stand around with a clipboard all day.

We want someone who can lead from the front, working alongside the team while keeping the entire project organised, productive and to the standard our clients expect.

THE ROLE

You’ll be responsible for:

  • High-quality 1st and 2nd fix carpentry
  • Running residential building projects day-to-day
  • Organising and coordinating trades
  • Planning ahead for labour, materials and deliveries
  • Reading drawings and understanding specifications
  • Keeping projects moving to programme
  • Maintaining exceptionally high standards of workmanship
  • Identifying problems early and finding solutions
  • Communicating clearly with the Quay management team
  • Maintaining a professional, organised and tidy site
  • Representing Quay Building Services professionally in front of our clients

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You’ll need to be an experienced carpenter first and foremost, with a strong understanding of the wider building trade.

You should be confident taking responsibility for a site without needing someone constantly looking over your shoulder.

We’re looking for someone who is:

Someone who takes genuine pride in their work, commands respect from other trades and understands what it takes to deliver a premium residential project.

Previous experience as a Working Foreman, Site Foreman or Lead Carpenter would be highly advantageous.
