Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled carpet and commercial vinyl Fitter to join our expanding team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring surfaces, including carpets, LVT, vinyl, and laminate, with the main focus being commercial stick down vinyl. You will need to demonstrate expertise in delivering high-quality finishes that meet client specifications and safety standards. Experience in laying commercial vinyl flooring and screeding is ESSENTIAL, as well as experience with Polyflor, Cap and Cove, and welding.

Must be comfortable with working some night shifts; a higher rate of pay is offered for night work.

Responsibilities

  • Measure and prepare work areas accurately to ensure precise installation of carpets and flooring materials
  • Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and secure flooring materials
  • Remove old flooring materials safely and efficiently before installing new surfaces
  • Follow technical instructions to achieve desired results
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
  • Collaborate with team members and project managers to meet deadlines and quality standards

Skills

  • Proven experience with a focus on flooring installation or related trades
  • Proficiency in using the appropriate hand tools and measuring devices
  • Strong skills in floor preparation, and finishing work
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship

A driving license and a clear DBS are essential for this role.
