Full job description

About BSel Contracts

BSel Contracts Ltd is a specialist surface finishes subcontractor working for main contractors across London and the South East on residential, education, leisure and commercial projects. We are ConstructionlineGold, SafeContractor and PAS 2030 accredited.

What we're looking for

We're building a pool of reliable, established gangs in five trades:

  • Tiling (walls and floors, including large format and stone)
  • Floor fitting (vinyl, safety flooring, LVT, carpet)
  • Screeding (sand and cement, liquid and levelling compounds)
  • Rendering and EWI (external wall insulation)
  • Painting and decorating

How it works

  • For each job, BSel sends you a package with our priced rates, which are very competitive. You can accept it, decline it or offer a discount. You only take the work you want.
  • Pay is on measured package rates. The daily figure shown is a guide to typical operative earnings.
  • Payment terms (please read): you apply monthly, up to the last Friday of the month, and we pay 30 days after you submit. No retention is held.
  • Joining the pool doesn't guarantee a set amount of work. Packages are offered job by job.

What you'll need

  • An established gang with your own tools
  • An in-date CSCS card (or trade equivalent) for every operative
  • Right to work in the UK. We check this for every operative before they start.
  • CIS registration (we verify it with HMRC)
  • £5m Public Liability and £5m Employers' Liability insurance
  • A signed BSel Labour Framework Agreement and a site induction before your first start

How to apply

Apply through Indeed and tell us: your trade, the size of your gang, CSCS card types, the areas you cover, your last three sites or main contractors, and when you're available. We'll call shortlisted gangs within a week.

BSel Contracts is an equal opportunities employer.

Pay: £180.00-£300.00 per day

Application question(s):

  • Which trade does your gang cover (tiling, floor fitting, screeding, render/EWI or painting & decorating), and how many operatives are in the gang?
  • Does every operative in your gang hold an in-date CSCS card (or trade equivalent) and the right to work in the UK? Which card types do they hold?
  • Are you CIS registered (yes/no only - please don't send your UTR), and do you hold £5m Public Liability and £5m Employers' Liability insurance?
  • Can your gang work on monthly applications (last Friday of the month), paid 30 days after submission? What areas do you cover and when are you available to start?

Work Location: In person
