Carpet fitting jobs in Mildenhall

We are looking for an experienced, reliable Sub-Contracted Carpet Fitter to join our installation team. You will handle domestic and commercial carpet installations, delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service on a flexible, ongoing contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Fit a variety of carpets (twist, loop, velvet, woven, felt-backed) across residential and commercial properties.
• Execute proper floor preparation, including installing underlay, smooth edge/gripper rods, and door thresholds.
• Perform pattern matching, seam joining, stretching, and neat trimming.
• Ensure jobs are completed safely, cleanly, and to the customer's satisfaction.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience in professional carpet fitting.
• Tools & Transport: Own fully equipped toolkit (stretcher, bolster, seam iron, etc.) and a clean, reliable work van.
• Insurance: Public Liability Insurance (minimum £2M–£5M required).
• CIS Registration: Registered under the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) / UTR holder.
• Standards: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and punctuality.
