Full job description

Working Days: Monday to Friday and at least one weekend day. Flexibility essential.

Working hours: Monday to Saturday: 9.00am to 5.30pm and Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm

(Usually one fixed day off in the week and one day at weekends - Ensuring the department is staffed over 7days by you and your team)

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Flooring Manager to join our small team due to the forthcoming retirement of our long serving flooring department manager. We are looking for a Flooring expert, someone with in depth knowledge about carpet and hard flooring who can sell to customers and communicate effectively with fitters and suppliers to ensure the success of the department as a key part of our business. You may have a flooring retail or a flooring fitting background.

As a manager representing Hopewells you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and driving sales in our Flooring Department .

Your main responsibilities will include:

· Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner

· Buying/Merchandising

. Managing customer expectations from Estimation to delivery

. Managing sub contractors

· Maintaining a clean, organised and attractive sales floor

· Replenishing stock and ensuring products are properly labelled and displayed

· Maintaining exceptional merchandising in store

· Collaborating with the Assistant manager and other team members to achieve sales targets

Requirements:

· Previous experience in retail sales essential

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour

· Ability to work in a team environment but also to work alone

· Proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitude

· Attention to detail and ability to multi-task

· Basic computer skills

· Flexibility essential in this busy department
