Full job description

Full Time Permanent Salt Harvester

Working across three shifts – days, evening & nights on rotation, with weekend & bank holiday overtime working required.

Annual basic rate of pay equivalent to £31,000 for an average working week of 40hrs. Overtime is paid at time and a half, which can boost the basic pay by up to £5,000 a year.

No experience necessary, Forklift Certificate is desirable but full training will be given.

Due to our remote location your own transport is essential, and you must be over the age of 18 years old.

The Role

As a Salt Harvester and Production Operative, your role will involve daily harvesting of our sea salt, maintaining our high cleaning standards and procedures including paperwork to achieve quality guidelines.

  • Operating industrial equipment.
  • Learn to use and run the salt dryer and pasteuriser.
  • Hand-harvesting the sea salt ready for the next process.
  • Prepare batches of brine.
  • Assisting the team in meeting daily production targets.
  • Conducting daily cleaning regimes to ensure our product is continually at its best.
  • Completing daily record paperwork
