Full job description

Are you a senior compliance leader who sees regulation not as a constraint, but as a foundation for sustainable, responsible growth?

This organisation is placing compliance is at the heart of everything — and we need an exceptional leader to own it operationally.

What you’ll be doing

You will own and shape the Digital compliance operating model — leading frontline teams responsible for Safer Gambling and CDD across the Digital estate, while maintaining standard alignment across other Retail. Day to day, that means:

  • Leading and developing senior compliance managers and their teams, building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Driving operational excellence through smarter processes, better tooling, and data-led decision-making.
  • Acting as the senior escalation point for complex or high-risk cases, ensuring swift and proportionate outcomes.
  • Establishing robust QA, audit, and performance monitoring frameworks that keep pace with regulatory expectations.
  • Partnering with Digital Operations, Technology, Risk, and Customer Service to embed compliance into everything.
  • Representing compliance in governance forums and regulatory engagements, including site visits and audits.
  • Staying ahead of emerging Digital risks and regulatory change, keeping the operating model future-ready.

What we’re looking for

  • Significant compliance operations experience in the gaming sector — Digital environment experience is highly desirable.
  • Deep working knowledge of Safer Gambling, AML, and CDD in high-volume, customer-facing settings.
  • Proven track record leading senior managers and large operational teams.
  • The ability to improve compliance performance through process redesign and smart use of technology.
  • Strong analytical skills — comfortable assessing risk and performance through data.
  • Calm and decisive under pressure, with the credibility to influence at the most senior levels.
  • A genuine commitment to customer protection and regulatory integrity.

Why this role, why now

This is a growing Gibraltar team, investing heavily in technology and people, and building a compliance function that sets the standard rather than follows it. This role puts you at the centre of that — with real influence, real scope, and real impact.

The role is 4 days in the office and 1 from home. Comes with bonus and a relocation package.

If you want to lead compliance in an organisation that takes it seriously as a cornerstone of growth — not just a box-ticking exercise — we would love to hear from you.

Pay: £75,000.00-£90,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Company pension
  • Private medical insurance
  • Sick pay
