Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Mobile Gaming Event Host to oversee and facilitate gaming events at various locations driving our Extra Long Wheelbase Vans, The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging guests, managing gaming stations, and ensuring a memorable experience for attendees. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine a passion for gaming with excellent guest service skills in a dynamic environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy socialising and creating engaging entertainment experiences.
Duties
- Welcome guests and introduce them to the gaming activities in a friendly and professional manner
- Manage and operate mobile gaming equipment, ensuring smooth gameplay throughout events
- Engage with attendees to foster a fun and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging participation
- Assist guests with game instructions, troubleshooting technical issues, and answering questions
- Coordinate event setup and pack-down, ensuring all equipment is handled safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of gaming stations before, during, and after events
- Collaborate with event organisers to ensure all aspects of the event run seamlessly
- Collect feedback from guests to improve future events and enhance guest satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience in management or hospitality is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and engagement
- Familiarity with gaming or entertainment technology is desirable but not mandatory
- Excellent communication skills, confident in engaging diverse audiences
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously during events
Requirements
- Previous customer service experience.
- Full UK driving licence held for at least 2 years.
- Experience driving vans or similar vehicles.
- Interest in gaming and familiarity with platforms such as PlayStation 5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and VR systems.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check due to working in environments involving children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Reliable, professional, and customer-focused approach.
