Full Job Description:
We are seeking two dedicated, responsible, and professional Licensed Chaperones to join our team. This project looks at the historical true story of Alice Glaston who became the youngest girl legally executed in the UK. The production features two child actors in demanding lead roles, alongside several smaller child bit-parts and child extras (known as the Little Wenlock Children). Your primary duty is to ensure the safety, well-being, and happiness of these young performers at all times.
The safety of our young cast is our absolute priority. Chaperones will work closely with our Designated Safeguarding Officer, to ensure minors well being is prioritised and that we strictly uphold child performance legislation and local authority licence conditions. You will be responsible for maintaining precise daily logs of the children’s working hours, break times, and general welfare.
We are looking for 2 professional Chaperones. One to be responsible for the care of our titular lead, and the other for our major child supporting actress.
About the film:
Set in the rural village of Little Wenlock, Shropshire, in March 1546, this artistic historical drama follows Alice Glaston, an eleven year old girl whose vivid, often dissociative imagination serves as a sanctuary from the grim realities of Tudor life. The story opens against the backdrop of King Henry VIII’s bloody matrimonial history. Alice is a farmhand for the ailing, kind-hearted Mr Harris, but her dazing and dreaming frequently pull her away from her chores, losing herself in elaborate fantasies. The film explores the thin veil between childhood innocence and the looming brutality of the Tudor era. The film is based on true events from April 13th 1546.
Safeguarding:
The company takes its dedication to the safeguarding of child actors extremely seriously. We have 2 lead child actors, as well as multiple young bit-role and child extras. For this reason, we operate a professional safer recruitment and vetting process.

- Ensure all young performers receive their legally mandated rest breaks, meals, and tutoring hours in line with child performance regulations and licenses,
- Guiding children safely between the holding areas, wardrobe, makeup, and the filming set.
- Acting as the dedicated voice for the children on set, ensuring they are not overworked or exposed to unsafe situations.
- Communicating regularly with parents, guardians, the production team, and the head of safeguarding and children regarding the children's daily schedules and needs.
Essential Criteria:
- Must be over the age of 18,
