Job Overview
Cobbles is looking for an experienced, passionate and adaptable chef to join our growing hospitality business.

This is a unique opportunity to work across several food concepts within one business, including our busy restaurant, wedding and events operation, sandwich shop and The Catch Fish and chip shop. No two days are the same and the role offers a huge amount of variety for someone who enjoys working with fresh food in a fast-paced environment.

The role will be centred around our Fish and Chip shop operation, supporting the day-to-day running of the business alongside the management team. However, the successful candidate will also work across the wider group (all on one site).

We’re looking for a chef who can step into busy services with confidence, maintain high standards and help drive quality across the business. The successful candidate will work closely with our senior team and play an important role throughout the season, with the opportunity for a permanent position for the right person.

20-hour contract with additional overtime hours available.

The role is contracted at 20 hours per week, however the successful candidate should expect significantly more hours during the busy season. Hours will vary depending on weddings, events and business demands, with full-time hours regularly available.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience at Chef de Partie, Senior Chef de Partie or Sous Chef level is essential.

You will be someone who:

  • Thrives in a busy service environment
  • Has strong organisational and time management skills
  • Takes pride in producing quality food consistently
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Is reliable, hardworking and professional
  • Has experience working with fresh food

Experience in high-volume kitchens, events or banqueting would be advantageous.
