Company Overview

The Nursery Catering Company specializes in providing EYFS Nutrition Guidance Compliant seasonal menus to childcare providers and day nurseries across the nation. Our dedicated team ensures that young children receive nutritious, balanced meals prepared in our conveniently located kitchens.

Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Cook to join our team in Coventry. This role is vital in delivering high-quality meal services that support our mission of promoting healthy eating habits among children. You will play a key part in ensuring our clients receive delicious and nutritious meals.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook nutritious meals following EYFS guidelines.
  • Ensure all food safety standards are strictly adhered to.
  • Oversee the main production kitchen operations producing high volumes of individual recipe meals in Bratt Pans and Combi Ovens.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve menu offerings.
  • Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Contribute to creating a positive environment focused on quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably in a commercial or childcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Culinary qualifications are a plus.
  • Experience with menu planning is desirable but not essential.
