Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team and oversee all aspects of kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive culinary experience, a strong understanding of food safety standards, and a flair for creating innovative menus. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a dynamic environment, ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The Head Chef will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring efficient service delivery.

Duties

  • Develop and plan diverse menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences
  • Oversee all food preparation and cooking activities to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met
  • Manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to minimise waste and control costs
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow and customer satisfaction
  • Innovate new recipes and introduce seasonal or special dishes to enhance menu offerings
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in accordance with health & safety guidelines
  • Assist in catering events and special functions as required

  • Proven experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant management roles with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen operations
