Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. Little Channels offers a wide range of food from our bar food through to Afternoon teas and Wedding breakfasts. The successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts to develop their skills within a professional environment. The role requires a strong commitment to food safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
  • Assist in the organisation and supervision of kitchen operations during service
  • Ensure all food preparation meets safety and hygiene regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations and kitchen equipment
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional experiences
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
  • Contribute to menu development and presentation ideas
  • Serve food to guests when required, ensuring prompt and courteous service

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant environment
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
  • Previous experience working in a busy kitchen or restaurant setting is highly desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are advantageous but not essential

The role is for 45 hours per week over 5 days.
