About you:

We are looking for someone who can help us provide nutritious and well balanced meals for our residents. We are looking for a caring individual to help enhance the day-to-day life of our residents.

Please note that we are not offering sponsorships at this time.

Essential:

· Basic food hygiene experience

· Willingness to be trained in the latest food preparation and hygiene regulations

· Genuine interest in working with vulnerable people

Desirable:

· Basic food hygiene qualification

· Formal catering qualification

· Experience of working in a residential care environment

About the role:

This is a permanent position for an average of 30.5 hours per week (8 am - 6 pm with 1 hour break) except which is Sunday 8am - 3pm

Working hours are:

Week 1 - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

Week 2 - Monday, Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday

There will be the opportunity to work additional hours to cover holidays and sick leave.

Hourly pay is £13.25

· You will be required to prepare, cook, and serve nutritious, well balanced and attractive meals that meet our residents’ requirements,

· Ensure all food (prepared and unprepared) is stored in correct location and at correct temperature at all times.

· Contribute to planning of menus and be aware of particular residents likes, dislikes, allergies and dietary requirements.

· Clean kitchen area at end of each shift and at regular intervals as advised in home procedures.

· Contribute to the best of your abilities to the efficient running of the home and to the creation of an atmosphere to the best interests of the residents

· Practice maximum integrity and professionalism in all dealings with residents, residents families, visitors and outside agencies/regulators at all times.

· Keep clear and tidy records in line with policies & procedures.
