Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Live-In Senior CDP (Chef de Partie) to join our team in. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and providing exceptional culinary service within a supportive environment. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a team of professionals while delivering outstanding dining experiences for our residents or guests. The position requires a proactive individual with strong organisational skills and a passion for culinary excellence.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements and menu specifications
  • Oversee food preparation activities, ensuring consistency and quality in all dishes served
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
  • Assist in menu planning, incorporating seasonal ingredients and special dietary needs
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
  • Manage stock levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations
  • Serve meals to residents or guests in a courteous and professional manner
  • Collaborate with other team members to deliver seamless dining experiences

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
  • Previous experience working as a Chef de Partie or in a senior kitchen role is desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Flexibility to work as part of a live-in team, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
  • Relevant qualifications in catering or culinary arts are preferred but not essential
  • A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for delivering high-quality food service
