Shop Assistant – Kitchen & Customer Service at LINCLUDEN BRANCH
30-35 hours across 5 days per week within Monday - Saturday 6.30am - 2.30pm
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Shop Assistant to join our team. This is a varied role, with the main focus being on kitchen duties and food preparation, alongside providing excellent customer service when required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and cooking basic breakfast items, soups and other food products to a consistently high standard.
- Preparing and displaying food and drinks in line with food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen and shop environment.
- Serving customers, taking orders and operating the till when required.
- Providing friendly, welcoming and efficient customer service.
- Ensuring food is stored, labelled and handled correctly, including appropriate stock rotation.
- Supporting the wider shop team during busy periods and carrying out other reasonable duties as required.
The successful candidate will be friendly, approachable and confident, with a good work ethic and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment. Previous kitchen, catering or food service experience is desirable, but full training will be provided.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent hygiene standards and enjoys working as part of a team.
Pay: From £12.72 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
