Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Manager to oversee the planning, organisation, and execution of catering services for a diverse range of events. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary and hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a team, coordinate with clients, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained at all times.

Duties

  • Coordinate and supervise all aspects of catering operations, including food production, presentation, and service.
  • Lead and motivate a team of chefs, servers, and support staff to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
  • Develop menus in collaboration with clients, ensuring dietary requirements and preferences are met.
  • Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and adherence to food safety standards.
  • Manage stock levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen and service areas.
  • Organise staffing schedules to meet event demands while optimising resource utilisation.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their needs, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction throughout the event.

  • Handle administrative tasks such as budgeting, invoicing, and reporting as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food production, cooking, serving, or food preparation within a catering or restaurant environment.
  • Strong management skills with previous supervising experience in hospitality or culinary settings.
  • Extensive knowledge of kitchen operations, culinary techniques, and food safety regulations.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
  • Experience in managing restaurant or hospitality services is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures is essential.
  • Previous barista experience is considered an advantage but not mandatory.
