Job Summary

Role: General Manager

Location: The Raven, Hammersmith, London (W6)

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 + Performance Bonus (Dependent on experience)

Position: Full-time, Live In and Permanent

About Us

We are a vibrant, pub located in the heart of Hammersmith, known for our welcoming atmosphere, excellent food, and fantastic drinks selection. Whether catering to local regulars, busy weekday commuters, or weekend crowds, we pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional customer experience. We are looking for an energetic, hands-on General Manager to take full operational running of the site and lead our fantastic team.

The Role

As our General Manager, you will be the face of the business, leading from the front on the floor and setting the standard for service. You will manage all day-to-day operations, drive revenue growth, control costs, and cultivate a positive working environment for our staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a high-performing front-of-house and kitchen team.
  • Financial Management: Take full accountability for the pub’s P&L, including managing stock, labour costs, and operational budgets.
  • Customer Excellence: Ensure consistently high standards of customer service, food quality, and hygiene.
  • Business Growth: Implement local marketing strategies, execute events, and drive sales across drink, food, and peak trading hours.
  • Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to health and safety, food hygiene, and licensing laws.

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Pub General Manager or Deputy General Manager in a high-volume, food-led environment.
  • Valid Personal Licence holder.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of hitting financial KPIs and managing labour budgets.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a charismatic, people-focused personality.
  • Ability to thrive and remain solutions-focused under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
