Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly by preparing ingredients, assisting with meal preparation, and cooking dishes all while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

Duties

  • Prepare and chop ingredients for cooking, including vegetables, meats, and other food items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
  • Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in food preparation.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
  • Assist with catering events as needed, providing high-quality food service to guests.
  • Participate in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting needs.

Requirements

  • Previous experience with Asian food is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling practices.
  • Experience in restaurant or culinary environments is highly desirable.
  • Proficient knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Must be reliable and have an unblemished attendance record.
