Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Cook/ Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Wellbeing Care Group in. This role is vital in ensuring our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals that support their health and happiness. Join us and contribute to a caring environment where quality and compassion are at the heart of everything we do. The role is set over a two week rolling rota assisting as a Kitchen assistant during 4:00pm - 6:00pm Mon, Tues, Wed and Sun each week, with an additional 7:00am - 2:00pm on a Friday week 1, and 7:00am - 2:00pm Sat and Sun in Week 2 as a cook. ( each role is paid according to the responsibilities). Therefore 15 hours week 1, and 22 hours week 2. There will be the possibility of overtime to cover annual leave and sickness.
Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook nutritious meals tailored to the needs of elderly residents.
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed.
  • Assist with kitchen organization and stock management.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality catering services within our care settings.
  • Collaborate with care staff to meet individual dietary requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in all kitchen areas.
  • Contribute to creating a warm and welcoming dining environment for residents.
  • Qualifications
  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a care or residential setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a caring attitude.
  • Experience with meal planning and dietary requirements for elderly individuals is desirable.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within the care environment.
