Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a flair for creativity and an understanding of food safety standards. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional dining experiences while leading and managing kitchen staff effectively. Your expertise in culinary arts will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant and hospitality operations.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to menu specifications, ensuring consistency and presentation.
  • Oversee food production processes, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Lead kitchen staff by providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Collaborate with management to develop new menu items that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
  • Monitor kitchen performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • Assist with the planning of special events or catering services as required.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control.
  • Passion for culinary arts with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
