Catering Assistant

Based at Altham, Nr Burnley

Competitive Pay Rate + Company Benefits

We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our busy Catering team, supporting the day-to-day operation of our staff restaurant. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll help deliver a high-quality catering service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages to employees.
  • Assist with food preparation in line with food hygiene standards.
  • Operate tills and handle customer transactions.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness following all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures throughout the kitchen, serving areas and dining facilities.
  • Replenish food, drinks and consumables throughout service.
  • Provide cover at other company sites as required.
  • Support the Catering team with any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the staff restaurant.

The Person:

  • Has previous catering experience (preferred but not essential).
  • Enjoys working as part of a team in a busy environment.
  • Has excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Can work efficiently while maintaining high standards.
  • Is reliable, flexible and willing to travel between sites when required.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence (essential).

Hours: Monday & Tuesday 10am – 6.30pm. Wednesday to Friday 10am – 3pm.

Occasional Saturday working as required.
