Full job description

Location: Clifton Hospital
Hours: 12:00pm - 6:45pm, 5 days out of 7 (including weekends on a rota basis)
Duration: Approximately 4 weeks initially, with the potential to be extended

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to join the team at Clifton Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service.

Working as part of the catering team, you will help ensure that patients, staff, and visitors receive a high standard of food service and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with food preparation and service
  • Serving meals and refreshments to patients and staff
  • Collecting and clearing trays
  • Operating and maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the kitchen and dining areas
  • Pot washing and general kitchen cleaning duties
  • Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times
  • Supporting the wider catering team as required

About You

  • Previous catering or kitchen experience is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
  • Good communication skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to assist where needed
  • Understanding of food hygiene practices is advantageous
