Company Overview

Bushell House Charity is a dedicated residential care home specializing in elderly care. Our mission is to provide a warm, safe, and nurturing environment for our residents, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care and support.

Please note this is a zero hours contract for holiday cover.

Summary

We are seeking a skilled Residential Care Home Chef to join our team at Bushell House. The role involves preparing meals for up to 30 residents using fresh local produce, ensuring high-quality food presentation in a relaxed and supportive environment. Shifts will be a combination of full days and half days, between 7:30 am and 6:30 pm.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals for up to 30 residents using fresh local produce.
  • Ensure all dietary requirements are met.
  • Maintain excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
  • Correctly store and rotate stock.
  • Work collaboratively with the care home team to provide a supportive environment for residents.

Requirements

  • Previous catering experience in a care home is preferred but not essential.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Passion for cooking and making a difference in the lives of our residents.
